Grab a mask, find a costume, and get ready for a night full of New Orleans style festivities and food all while celebrating a good cause! Join in the revelry and celebrate 12 years of volunteers with Hands on Thomas County at the annual Mardi Gras Party & Fundraiser Saturday, January 23rd at 7pm! All proceeds will benefit HOTC volunteer and community service programs.
Through daily volunteer referrals, awareness, partnerships, and annual signature events, HOTC is able to connect local volunteers with non-profit organizations, needs, and service opportunities within the community. The group has an inspiring goal to provide the necessary tools and resources to motivate local citizens to help make a positive change in the community, and by joining in all the fun, you can help make that goal achievable.
The event next Saturday, January 23, will be hosted at The Uno Hill Barn at Pebble Hill Plantation and will feature a divine n’awlins inspired menu of fried shrimp, bloody mary oyster shooters, and southern tomato tarts for passed appetizers, a delicious gumbo with rice, veggie salad, jalapeno and cheddar cornbread for dinner, and for dessert, Kings (cup) cakes! Is your mouth watering yet?
The evening will also feature live music and dancing, a goof booth, door prizes for best mask and most creative krewe, plus raffles and a silent auction featuring tickets to Wild Adventures, tickets to the Georgia Aquarium and some handcrafted fishing lures from Jettson Lures, a 1 year family membership to the YMCA, and a $100 DASH gift certificate!
