Thomasville, GA – Prepare for a new take on Southern cuisine when So.Ho. opens its doors soon on Broad Street in Thomasville. “We are excited to offer some favorite Southern recipes everyone knows and loves but with an Asian twist,” said owner and restaurant manager, Carolyn Cadenhead.
The owners, Cadenhead and her husband, Skyler, met in culinary school and eventually became partners in the kitchen and in life. Over the last few months, they’ve created a unique menu inspired by their respect and love for family and food which they believe is exemplified in the Southern and Asian cultures.
“So. Ho, as in Southern Hospitality, starts from the concept of ‘Southern looking East.'” Cadenhead explained, “Our food is rooted in the simple, comforting foods of the South but expanded and played upon with their reflections found in Eastern cuisines.” Familiar Southern dishes, such as fried chicken and biscuits, are transformed by adding a sweet and spicy honey-chili sauce. The menu will also feature smoky, slow-cooked meats, fresh seafood, local farm produce and house-made desserts.
Located in the former educational toy store, Shapes and More, So.Ho. will be the latest addition to Downtown Thomasville’s exciting dining scene. Follow them on Facebook for updates and more.
